About The Position

Join Our Collaborative Team in Glendale, AZ Aurora Behavioral Health System (ABHS) is seeking experienced, certified Recreational Therapists and Music Therapists to join our professional team in Glendale, AZ. We are a freestanding psychiatric hospital offering both inpatient and outpatient programs for adolescents and adults dealing with a wide range of psychiatric conditions and chemical dependency. Requirements

We are seeking credentialed and/or licensed professionals .
To be considered a qualified applicant, you must meet one of the following educational/certification requirements:
Certification from an accredited organization in a creative arts/expressive therapy or recreational/leisure therapy (e.g., MT-BC, CTRS, ATR ).
A Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or another Master's degree that is license-eligible (e.g., LPC, LCSW).
Additional Requirements:
Knowledge of psychiatric and addictive disease diagnoses and treatment.
Excellent communication, assessment, evaluation, and interpretation skills.
Must be 21 years of age and qualify for fingerprint clearance.
Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical
Must be eligible for a fingerprint clearance card

Responsibilities

The Adjunctive Therapist develops, organizes, and implements comprehensive adjunctive therapy groups.
Providing therapeutic interventions for both adolescent and adult patients .
Interacting with patients during daily routine activities consistent with the principles of normal growth and development.
Working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary treatment team.
