About The Position

Will be responsible for teaching Physical Science 100 based on the established department curriculum and format. This position requires the successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment.

Requirements

  • MS in Physics, Chemistry, Geology or related field, or BS degree in Physics, Chemistry, Geology or related field plus two years teaching experience.
  • The required degree must be completed by the start date.

  • This position requires the successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment.
  • All new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend.
  • All employees are required to abide by the university's Honor Code and Dress & Grooming Standards.
  • Successful candidates are expected to support and contribute to the academic and religious missions of the university within the context of the principles and doctrines of the affiliated church.

Nice To Haves

  • Five years of classroom instruction preferred.
  • Experience with teaching diverse student populations, developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and adapting instructional strategies to meet varying learning needs.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to foster a positive, inclusive learning environment are essential.
  • Preference is given to qualified candidates who are members in good standing of the affiliated church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
