About The Position

Teach IS 303: Introduction to Computer Programing. This course focuses on the practical application of fundamental Python programming principles, including object-oriented programming. Programming skills are developed and tested through small programming tasks and projects, including manipulating spreadsheets through Python code, interacting with databases and Pandas Data Frames, and web scraping. Coach students on professional presentations, proposals, and client meetings.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. Must have the required degree by the start date.
• Experience as a software engineer.
• Ability to teach the following subjects at a beginning level: Fundaments of Python: How to solve problems using the Python language.
• Familiarity with Python fundamentals, along with OOP, Pandas, GitHub, Web scraping, and PostgreSQL database.

• This position requires the successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment.
