Adjunct Teaching - English - Graduate Writing Instructor

About The Position

This position is for an adjunct writing instructor who will specialize in providing one-to-one writing instruction for graduate students in the University Research & Writing Center. This position will support graduate student writers from disciplines across the university on various writing projects, including course assignments, journal articles, theses, and dissertation chapters. In addition to a proven record as a writing teacher, ideal candidates should have experience working on complex writing projects and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to helping students succeed.

Requirements

  • Master's degree required; PhD preferred. The required degree must be completed by the start date.
  • At least 2 years of university-level teaching experience required.
  • This position requires the successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment.
  • All new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend.
  • All employees are required to abide by the university's Honor Code and Dress & Grooming Standards.
  • Successful candidates are expected to support and contribute to the academic and religious missions of the university within the context of the principles and doctrines of the affiliated church.
