About The Position

The School of Business & Technology (SBT) invites applicants for adjunct faculty for its undergraduate programs: Accounting, Applied Economics, Computer Information Systems, Finance, Management, Marketing, and Organizational Behavior. Adjunct faculty are hired on a course-by-course basis in Duluth, St. Paul, St. Cloud, and other locations.

Requirements

• Master's degree or higher in their field of expertise (preferred).
• Previous adult learner teaching experience.
• At least three years of business experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to exercise initiative and work for continuous improvement.
• Demonstrated cross-cultural communication skills and multicultural competency.
• Experience interacting effectively with diverse constituents.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in programs for which they are qualified and/or knowledgeable.
• Create a learning and teaching environment for students in accordance with the educational objectives of SB&T.
• Develop course text, syllabus, and other teaching materials to achieve course and program outcomes as outlined by SB&T.
• Attend faculty development and in-service meetings as requested.
• Maintain published course contact hours.
• Demonstrate commitment to SB&T mission, goals, and objectives.
