Design, organize, and deliver training for new and continuing TA's. Mentor and support TAs in effective teaching practices, grading strategies, and student engagement. Coordinate assessment and feedback systems to improve TA performance and training effectiveness. Collaborate with faculty and departmental leadership to align TA training with course objectives and university policies. Supervise the walk-in tutorial lab that services introductory courses. Maintain records of participation, evaluations, and outcomes for program reporting and improvement. Contribute to the department’s mission to provide exceptional teaching and learning experiences

  • Design, organize, and deliver training for new and continuing TA's.
  • Mentor and support TAs in effective teaching practices, grading strategies, and student engagement.
  • Coordinate assessment and feedback systems to improve TA performance and training effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with faculty and departmental leadership to align TA training with course objectives and university policies.
  • Supervise the walk-in tutorial lab that services introductory courses.
  • Maintain records of participation, evaluations, and outcomes for program reporting and improvement.
  • Contribute to the department’s mission to provide exceptional teaching and learning experiences
  • Master’s degree or higher in Physics, Astronomy, Physics Education, or a closely related field. The required degree must be completed by the start date.
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching or instructional support in a college or university setting.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
