About The Position

The Department of Teacher Education and Leadership in the College of Education, Humanities, and Behavior Sciences at Alabama A & M University seeks one (1) adjunct faculty member to teach courses in the program for Elementary Education. Courses are offered asynchronous or traditional delivery platforms. Interested candidates should submit credentials for evaluation.

Requirements

• A masters or higher in Elementary Education
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of teaching experience at the college level
• Design course for online delivery
• Evaluate students' performance in all courses taught

• Knowledge of graduate level content in the specializations mentioned above
• Ability to interpret research data
• Knowledge of the use of Analytics
• Ability to use Blackboard Collaborate Ultra instructional delivery platform
• Ability to deliver instructions online in the synchronous, asynchronous or hybrid modalities

Responsibilities

• Teach up to 6 semester hours of undergraduate and graduate courses per semester
• Design courses in various delivery modes
• Observe student teachers
• Evaluate students' performance in all courses taught
