About The Position

The part-time adjunct faculty member at SUNY Erie will teach department courses and evaluate student performance according to the guidelines set by the department and the College. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, teaching aids, and instructional materials, maintaining accurate student records, and submitting relevant data to the department or College. Adjunct faculty are expected to demonstrate knowledge of their subject, encourage student participation, and maintain an organized classroom environment. They must also contribute to an inclusive and collaborative College environment and adhere to all applicable policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in area of specialization
• 30 credit hours of advanced study in area of specialization
• Good knowledge of field of specialization
• Experience in implementing a variety of teaching strategies
• Ability to develop educational programs
• Ability to teach effectively at the college level
• Effective communication skills
• Experience teaching a diverse student body
• Physically capable of performing essential functions of the position
