The Adjunct Faculty position involves providing academic instruction on a non-permanent basis, adhering to division standards, expectations, and course objectives. The role requires meeting with assigned classes at all scheduled times and locations, ensuring that instruction fulfills course objectives. In the event of a class meeting cancellation or change, the faculty member must notify the Dean or Associate Dean. Additionally, the faculty member is responsible for preparing and distributing course syllabi that align with the official course brief, detailing policies on attendance, evaluation, and expected performance. Required documents such as midterm lists and final grades must be submitted in a timely manner, and student attendance records must be maintained and submitted to the Dean or Associate Dean at the end of each course. The faculty member will also employ a well-defined procedure for evaluating student progress and enforce college regulations regarding student behavior and building regulations. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
