About The Position

Teach Physics courses to students across all academic programs at the Technical College of the Lowcountry. The Technical College of the Lowcountry seeks to be the first choice for higher education in South Carolina's Low Country Region. The college is a public, open door, two-year comprehensive College of higher education. Requirements

  • Master's degree in Physics or a closely related field and a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Physics.
  • Unofficial transcrips are required at the time of application.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Physics and two (2) years of teaching experience at the college level.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver instruction in both theoretical and hands-on physics concepts.
  • Manage classromms effectively while performing necessary administrative tasks, including syllabus and lesson plan development.
  • Regularly assess student learning and progress.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and academic performance.
  • Recommend instructional materials for courses and seek approval as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with other college departments, such as Tutoring and Retention, to support student success.
  • Prepare reports in coordination with the Division Dean for planning, reporting systems, or submission to accrediting bodies.
  • Attend relevant professional meetings and workshops.
  • Represent the College positively in interactions with the community, as well as with local, state, and national professional and academic groups.
