About The Position

The Physical Therapist Assistant Program is seeking a qualified part-time instructor to join our faculty at our main Campus. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality instruction in lecture and/or laboratory settings, using face-to-face and/or online formats. Teaching assignments may be scheduled during daytime or evening hours, depending on program needs. Developing high-quality instructional materials, lesson plans, and learning activities Assessing and evaluating student performance using appropriate methods Submitting Attendance Reports, Early Alerts, Midterm Grades, and Final Grades electronically by required deadlines Demonstrating the ability to teach and support students with diverse learning styles Providing effective communication, guidance, and feedback to students Participating in faculty meetings and contributing to program initiatives. Responsibilities may include didactic teaching, laboratory instruction, assessment of student learning, and competency testing.

Requirements

  • Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant licensed in the state of Ohio, with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in physical therapy or related degree. Master's degree or doctorate is preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of full-time work experience as a Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant with contemporary clinical experience.
  • Valid and unrestricted Ohio PT or PTA license is required.
  • Must have current knowledge of physical therapy, including current trends and direction of the profession.
  • Must have clinical expertise in data collection, interventions, and documentation.
  • Must have recent experience working with patients with varying neurological and/or developmental pathologies or conditions.
  • Must be able to communicate with students effectively, and must have strong organizational skills.
  • Must have demonstrated ability in critical thinking and decision-making.
  • Competency in using computers and basic software programs.

Nice To Haves

  • Clinical background in neurological rehab settings is preferred.
