About The Position

The Division of Science and Mathematics at Newman University, a mission-driven, Catholic, liberal arts university, invites applicants for an adjunct instructor for the Spring 2026 Semester to teach Advanced Human Pathophysiology online in our Master’s in Biomedical Science program. Spring 2026 semester begins on January 18, 2026. Adjunct faculty contribute to the enrichment of our curriculum and work collaboratively with our faculty with teaching, learning and assessment. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Biology (Doctorate degree preferred) or professional experience related to pathophysiology.
  • University level online teaching experience.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Teach graduate courses as assigned in keeping with departmental, university and accreditation standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Meet with the Division Chair a minimum of 2 weeks prior to the beginning of the course to review syllabus, course materials, etc.
  • Inform students of their progress by promptly returning assignments, quizzes, and examinations with appropriate feedback.
  • Submit mid-term and final grades on Jet Stream by designated deadlines.
  • Utilize the Learning Management System and other technology as appropriate to deliver and enhance the learning experience.
