About The Position

Midland University, a private, liberal-arts college in Fremont, Nebraska (just outside of metro Omaha), is seeking an exceptional clinical adjunct faculty member to teach in Critical Care clinicals in the School of Nursing.

Requirements

• Unencumbered Registered Nurse License in the state of Nebraska or Iowa
• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or enrollment in a Master's or Doctoral program in Nursing.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Critical Care
• Ability to meet clinical agency requirements, such as a background check, abuse check, drug testing, CPR, immunizations, health care insurance, etc.
• Ability to create relevant learning opportunities in the clinical setting that meet professional expectations and standards.

Nice To Haves

• Previous teaching experience in Nursing
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• collaborating with nursing course faculty
• coordinating with hospital staff to prepare clinical assignments for a group of 6-8 students in a critical care hospital setting in Omaha
• documenting clinical feedback
• grading of clinical assignments
• conducting student final clinical evaluations
• responding to student inquiries
• meeting with students individually as needed
