This position is responsible for teaching classes as assigned by the academic dean. Methodologies include: face-to-face, hybrid, video conferencing, live virtual, and online. The role involves evaluating and reporting student performances and progress in accordance with college and division policies and procedures. The instructor must meet Minimum Faculty Standards for hire and adhere to college policies and procedures. Additionally, the position requires promoting, developing, and delivering quality education programs with the intent to retain students to graduation. The instructor is expected to demonstrate IWCC's core mission, vision, and values, and meet minimum expectations for the use of the college Learning Management System, including posting the syllabus, recording student attendance, and maintaining an accurate gradebook. Responsibilities also include assessing and documenting student learning outcomes, organizing and teaching labs, completing required professional development and trainings, and exhibiting a positive and professional demeanor with all members of the college and community. The instructor must promote academic integrity, be available for student questions outside of class, help students achieve their educational and career goals, refer students to college resources, maintain confidentiality in accordance with FERPA and Title IX regulations, and adhere to safety policies and procedures. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
