About The Position
Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary of Lenoir-Rhyne University invites applications for an adjunct instructor position for Fall 2025 in the area of Lutheran American history. In person (Hickory) delivery is preferred but online, synchronous delivery and virtual student hours will be considered. The successful candidate will teach one section of a course titled 'Lutheranism in North America' for students seeking ordination in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). The course surveys the history of Lutheranism in the United States in its theological, social, cultural and linguistic contexts. Contracts will be issued on a per-semester basis. Compensation will be based on classroom contact hours.
