The position of Adjunct Lecturer is part-time and non-benefit eligible, with a rate of $1400 per contact hour for those with a terminal degree and $1200 per contact hour for those without. Compensation is per contact hour and may change based on class size. Adjunct Lecturers will teach courses focused on the Public Health aspects of the Health Informatics degree, with classes delivered online and onsite at the two campuses in Lisle, Illinois and Mesa, Arizona. Candidates will be required to travel for one three-day executive format session for each course taught.

  • Develop and teach courses focused on the Public Health aspects of the Health Informatics degree.
  • Travel to Lisle or Mesa for one three-day executive format session for each course taught.
  • Graduate degree and significant experience in a related area from an accredited institution is required.
  • Terminal degree (PhD) is preferred.
  • Coursework or experience in working with health-related databases, electronic health records systems, and health systems in a QI, research, or Public Health capacity is required.
  • Specific experience working with SAS, R, Python, and common EHR systems is desired.
  • Experience working in a health-related field is required.
  • Experience teaching online or using online platforms is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel when needed for weekend sessions.
