The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is seeking an Adjunct Faculty to teach introductory geology labs at the undergraduate level. This position will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following job duties: Teaching course(s), providing coaching support for students, assessing student-submitted work products, and following course objectives and syllabus prepared for the course. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with office computing software
  • Ability to teach in an online setting
  • Ability to work within a team of instructors

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in Applied Science, Geology or a related field
  • Previous introductory geology teaching experience

Responsibilities

  • Teach Earth and the Environment lab courses at the undergraduate level
  • Provide coaching support for students
  • Assess student-submitted work products
  • Follow course objectives and syllabus prepared for the course
