About The Position

The University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy is seeking a highly motivated and creative individual for a part-time, temporary Adjunct Instructor faculty position in the Department of Pharmacy and Therapeutics to teach the PHARM 5928 Specialty Pharmacy Management-1 and PHARM 5929 Specialty Pharmacy Management-2 courses in the Masters of Pharmacy Business Adminiatration (MPBA) program.

The Department of Pharmacy and Therapeutics is integrated with UPMC and provides leadership and management of pharmacy services, as well as clinical programs, including the Antibiotic Management Program, Ambulatory Care Programs, Medicine, Palliative Care, Oncology, Transplantation, Critical Care, and Cardiology. The Department of Pharmacy and Therapeutics and UPMC are home to twelve accredited residency programs, plus twelve pharmacy fellowship training programs, and the Grace Lamsam Pharmacy Program for the Underserved. Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (PharmD)
• Prior teaching at the professional level (PharmD program)
• Three years of experience in leadership and Specialty Pharmacy

Responsibilities

• Providing student instruction, including primary responsibility for delivering and coordinating the online instruction of the PHARM 5928 Specialty Pharmacy Management-1 and PHARM 5929 Specialty Pharmacy Management-2 course.
• Designing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating these courses.
• The selected faculty member will work with the course coordinator to ensure that all of their teaching and grading is in compliance with school's standards.
• Evaluating student performance through exams, quizzes, written assignments, and/or projects
• Advising and mentoring students.
