About The Position

Point University is a private liberal arts institution that educates its students within a Christian worldview, equipping them to take their faith into the marketplace and all of life while achieving their professional goals. We are training the next generation of Christian leaders to take the cross to more job sites, churches, industries, and nations than ever before. Point University is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach Introduction to Psychology for its Dual Enrollment program, which serves students from public school systems, private schools, and homeschool settings. The course provides a study of psychological structures and functions, designed to help students better understand themselves and others. This course is a prerequisite for all other psychology courses.

Requirements

  • A master's degree or equivalent credential is preferred; a doctorate is preferred. Applicants with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the subject area or significant professional experience in a relevant field may be considered.
  • Effective teaching ability/excellent communication skills
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Willingness to be a role model and mentor to students
  • Commitment to undergraduate education, professional growth, service, and scholarship in a distinctively Christian setting, including agreement with the University's mission and goals, values, and doctrinal statement.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior online teaching experience at the collegiate level preferred
  • Experience with Canvas LMS preferred
