Ohio University Regional Campuses are seeking a part-time instructor to teach in person Teacher Education courses at the undergraduate level. Ohio University's Regional Campuses are located in the following cities in the State of Ohio: Chillicothe, Eastern (St. Clairsville, OH), Lancaster, Southern (Ironton, OH), and Zanesville. The exact number of Instructors needed is undetermined at this time as it is primarily dependent upon enrollments and overall student demand. When a need arises, the department will select qualified candidates from this pool. Preference will be given to applicants who can teach sections of ECEE 3400 (Methods for Teaching Early Childhood and Elementary Science) in person. This course is designed to prepare early childhood and elementary education teacher candidates with the knowledge, skills, and dispositions that provide the foundation for effective science teaching. It develops teacher candidates' abilities to design inclusive and culturally responsive learning environments based on current perspectives about student learning and using evidence-based strategies for teaching and assessment. It also emphasizes scientific inquiry, core ideas, and cross-cutting concepts as recommended by the Ohio Learning Standards for Science and the Next Generation Science Standards for grades P-5. Position will include teaching from 3 credit hours to up to 11 credit hours per term.
