About The Position

Cumberland University seeks applications for an Adjunct Instructor of Statistics. Duties will include teaching courses in quantitative methods and statistics at the undergraduate level in both the Psychology and Mathematics programs.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree required for teaching of undergraduate courses.
  • Minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in statistics and/or research methods.
  • Excellent communication, teaching, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated inter- and intrapersonal skills.
  • Evidence of high level of personal agency and initiative.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Successful use of multiple creative instructional strategies and technologies in the classroom and online.
  • Familiarity with SPSS and/or Excel for statistical analysis.
  • Previous university teaching online and in-person preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses in quantitative methods and statistics at the undergraduate level.
  • Engage with traditional and non-traditional university students.
  • Utilize university systems for email communications and to electronically enter attendance, midterm grades, and final grades.
