About The Position

The Department of Philosophy and Religion is looking for an adjunct instructor for teaching in-person and online, general education courses in the “Religion, Ethics, and Meaning” program of Methodist University. Requirements

  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Philosophy, Religion, or comparable field.
  • Cover letter, CV, and transcripts (unofficial copies are acceptable for application purposes).

Nice To Haves

  • Preference will be given to those with teaching experience and academic strengths in ethics, philosophical anthropology, Biblical studies, or comparative religion.

Responsibilities

  • Teach a variety of in-person courses in the “Religion, Ethics, and Meaning” program that reflect the strengths of the applicant’s academic background and interests.
  • Provide online instruction as part of MUOnline general education requirements.
  • Hold regular office hours to support students and address their questions and concerns.
