About The Position

Calumet College of St. Joseph (CCSJ) invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor of Mathematics beginning Spring 2026. Candidates must hold a master’s degree in mathematics or a closely related field and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching within a liberal arts context. Preference will be given to applicants with experience teaching diverse undergraduate populations. The instructor may teach up to three courses per semester, including developmental, general education, and advanced mathematics, based on departmental needs. Most courses are scheduled Monday through Thursday between 8:30 a.m. and 2:15 p.m.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in mathematics or a closely related field.
  • Commitment to excellence in teaching within a liberal arts context.
  • Experience teaching diverse undergraduate populations (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Teach up to three courses per semester in mathematics.
  • Cover developmental, general education, and advanced mathematics courses.
  • Support student success through meaningful assessment.
  • Provide early intervention for at-risk students.
  • Adhere to departmental policies.
