About The Position

The College of Nursing, Health, and Human Services (CNHHS) occasionally has openings for part-time adjunct instructors appointed on a per semester basis. Applying for a part-time teaching appointment in Kinesiology adds applicants to a pool which is available to the department for selection as needed for Fall 2025, Spring 2026 and/or Summer 2026.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in the teaching discipline or related field, including a minimum of 18 graduate level credit hours in the teaching discipline for undergraduate level courses.
  • Doctorate or terminal degree in the teaching discipline, or closely related field, including a minimum of 18 graduate level credit hours in the teaching discipline for graduate level courses.
  • Degree and coursework must be obtained from a regionally accredited institution.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Kinesiology and related course(s) in one or more modalities: Face-to-face, web-enhanced, hybrid, or online.
  • Conduct courses as a 5-week, 8-week, 10-week or 16-week term depending on the semester.
  • Coordinate course administrative duties such as grading student work, loading all course content, meeting with students, and submitting grades in a timely manner.
  • Meet census and grade deadlines, and perform additional administrative duties as needed.

Benefits

  • Compensation of $2,400 per undergraduate course taught with a master's degree.
  • $2,900 per undergraduate section taught with a Ph.D.
  • $4,200 per graduate level section taught.
