Appointments are made on a term-by-term basis. Adjunct faculty are required to successfully complete an online Canvas LMS orientation course before being scheduled, as well as other training if required by the department. The Interior Design program at Park University is seeking qualified adjunct instructors to teach courses in areas such as Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Revit/BIM, and Commercial Interior Design. Adjunct faculty typically teach 3–6 credit hours per semester depending on program needs and instructor availability. Courses are offered face-to-face on the Parkville Campus.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related design field.
  • Professional experience in interior design, architecture, or a related design discipline.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
  • Proficiency in industry software, such as: o AutoCAD o Revit
  • Knowledge of presentation and visualization tools, such as: o Adobe Photoshop o Illustrator o InDesign
  • Professional certifications such as: o NCIDQ
