About The Position

The Adjunct Instructor for the Federated Department of History will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in history, with a focus on areas such as the history of science, technology, medicine, environment, media, and world history. The instructor will develop and deliver lectures, organize in-class activities relevant to course material, and prepare and grade assignments and exams to assess student achievement. The position requires effective utilization of Canvas, NJIT's online course management system, and maintaining regular weekly office hours. Additionally, the instructor must submit the syllabus, final grades, and other requested information in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or comparable terminal degree in a relevant field.
• Demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted at the university's discretion.

Nice To Haves

• Prior university teaching experience.
• Evidence of effective teaching.
