About The Position

Fisher College, a private four-year institution located in the Back Bay area of Boston, is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach an Environmental Science course for the Spring 2026 semester. The course will run from January 12, 2026, through May 1, 2026. Instruction will be conducted in person on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Additional time commitments will include training, course preparation, grading, and student communications. A science course designed to promote student investigation of current environmental issues and crises such as global warming, energy production, endangered species, and the destruction of tropical rain forests. Discussion will also focus on the impact of population growth and the preservation of natural resources for future generations.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a master's degree in Science or a related field is required.
  • Previous experience in teaching college-level Science is preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with WebAssign is desirable.
  • Experience with Canvas is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Environmental Science course in person on specified days and times.
  • Prepare course materials and conduct training sessions.
  • Grade assignments and provide feedback to students.
  • Communicate with students regarding course content and expectations.
