About The Position

This position is part of the teaching faculty within the Language Development department and reports to the Department Chair. This is a part-time faculty position. Expectations for this position include teaching one or more English courses during daytime hours and could also include teaching in afternoons and/or evenings (non-peak times) and using instructional technology in the classroom. English faculty members teach and supervise all learning experiences and evaluate student performance in the classroom.

Requirements

• A mastery of the English language.
• A commitment to excellence in teaching at the community college level.
• A master's degree or higher with a minimum of eighteen graduate hours in English.

Benefits

• Salary for adjunct faculty members is based upon level of education and ranges from $1,800 per 3-hour course for a master's degree to $2,000 per 3-hour course for a doctorate.
