About The Position
The Department of English and Literature at Utah Valley University is seeking part-time (adjunct) instructors to teach in-person first-year writing courses, specifically English 1010 and 2010. The successful candidates will be responsible for implementing program goals as guided by common assignment sequences, texts, and objectives. This role requires the preparation of effective course plans, establishing a supportive classroom environment, and evaluating student learning through various assessment methods. Instructors will also maintain and submit detailed student grade records, ensuring a student-centered approach to education. Applicants must be residents of Utah at the time of hire, as all work must be performed within the state boundaries.
