About The Position

FVCC seeks applicants to teach one or two on-campus, face-to-face course(s) in introductory level General Education subjects. This position is to teach one section of EGEN 111 Engineering Communications beginning spring semester 2026.

Requirements

• Master's degree in engineering, OR
• Master's degree in a closely related academic discipline with at least nine graduate semester credits in engineering related to the class to be taught.

Nice To Haves

• Experience teaching in a secondary, post-secondary or higher education environment.
• Experience in differentiated instruction for diverse student populations.

Responsibilities

• Conveys expert-level knowledge AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hand sketching in an effective manner for students to successfully master course learning outcomes.
• Fosters positive student and community relations.
• Maintains and submits instructional records in accordance with requirements.
• Integrates subject area with other related curricula.
• Maintains professional ethics and confidentiality of students in accordance with applicable laws and policies.
• Creates and maintains a collaborative and collegial environment with colleagues and maintains effective working relationships.
• Remains current in practices, trends and research related to areas of assignment.
• Attends meetings and participates in student and/or program assessment as directed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Reports to the Director of Academic Affairs.
