The College of the Florida Keys is seeking an adjunct instructor for the College's Marine Engineering Technology program at the Key West campus. This is a part-time teaching assignment. Adjunct Instructors in the Marine Science and Technology department earn $628 - $727 per credit hour, based on degree level. Consult the 2024-25 Salary Schedule, available on the College's website, for additional information.

  • Plans, organizes, and instructs assigned courses to promote student success.
  • Maintains required office hours to provide assistance to students and communication with administration.
  • Responsible for evaluating student learning and objective achievement and providing feedback.
  • Selects appropriate materials and equipment for discipline or program use and ensures proper care and safety in their use.
  • Adheres to and enforces the administrative policies and procedures of the College.
  • Assists in implementing College policies, objectives, and functions in accordance with the College Mission Statement.
  • Responsible for keeping current in the discipline or program areas taught.
  • Assist in College recruitment and retention efforts, as appropriate.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
  • Master's degree in one of the following qualifying fields or a master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in one of the following qualifying fields or a related field: Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer-Integrated Manufacturing, Electronics Engineering, Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Engineering.
  • Earn $628 - $727 per credit hour, based on degree level.
