About the position
The College of Southern Idaho is a public, comprehensive community college with campuses in Twin Falls, Burley, and Jerome, Idaho. Our students come from around the world, but we primarily serve eight counties in our local impact area. We offer face-to-face courses at all three campuses in addition to offering a significant percentage of our credits online. This posting is for an adjunct/part-time instructor pool. Positions may or may not be available. When openings occur, instructional administration will refer to qualified applicants in this pool. These are at-will positions with no guarantee of continued employment from semester to semester. By submitting your unofficial transcripts, resume/cv and cover letter, you enter a pool of potential adjunct instructors. After viewing your application materials, department chairs may contact you if the College has a need (based on enrollment) in your area of specialty.
Responsibilities
- Teach course(s) in specific disciplines as qualified and needed.
- Responsible for instructional preparation and assessment of student performance.
- Provide assistance to students by appointment.
- Participate in the College's internal trainings (online) and outcomes assessment processes (online).
- Stipulate in cover letter preference for online or face-to-face courses and note level of availability.
Requirements
- Teaching experience is preferred, but not required.
- Highlight experience teaching the subject matter in a college setting if applicable.
- Experience teaching in online environments is preferred.
- A master's degree in the instructional area is preferred.
Benefits
- Salary: $1000.00 per credit per semester
- Part-Time position
- 12 months year round
- Online and in-person instruction Monday - Friday, various hours.
