About The Position

Candidates should be passionate educators who can facilitate the needs of 21st century learners. Candidates should demonstrate (1) a mastery of their specific discipline; (2) a deep commitment to the college mission of fostering student success, achievement and persistence; (3) technology competencies as well as teaching/counseling skills and strategies that facilitate 21st century literacies; (4) the use of resources that prepare students for productive lives. All schedules require office hours and some may require evening and/or weekend hours.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Dental Assisting or a related field.
  • Graduated from a CODA-accredited dental assisting program.
  • Two years of experience preferred.
  • Prior college teaching experience preferred.
  • Willingness to complete teaching methodology training.
  • Background in and current knowledge of dental assisting procedures.
  • Recent experience in four-handed dentistry principles.
  • Ability to teach in both traditional face-to-face and blended (hybrid) format.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Accredited program within the State of Florida or completed expanded functions course recognized by the Florida State board of dentistry.
