About The Position

The University of Cincinnati invites qualified individuals to apply for part-time faculty positions in the MS in Cosmetic Science program. Founded in 1973, this program is one of the oldest and most recognized in the field, preparing students to become industry leaders. The program offers a Master of Science in Cosmetic Science, along with Graduate Certificates in Cosmetic Science and Hygienic Manufacturing of Cosmetic Products. Appointments are based on departmental needs and teaching experience, with classes scheduled during the day or evening.

Requirements

• PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or related fields.
• Significant experience in cosmetic formulation science, cosmetic bio-substrate science, clinical, consumer, and safety assessment of cosmetic products, and regulatory and toxicology aspects of cosmetic ingredients.
• In-depth understanding of physicochemical principles related to the creation, testing, and evaluation of cosmetic products.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to present complex material to students unfamiliar with a subject.
• Ability to work and collaborate with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

• Significant industrial experience in cosmetic science.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and teach assigned undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses and seminars on a part-time basis.
• Serve as an academic advisor for students and evaluate student coursework.
• Engage in activities ancillary to or in support of teaching responsibilities.
• Review and respond to all University-related communications in a timely manner.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
