The Design and Construction Technologies Management (Construction Management) Adjunct is responsible for teaching courses that include such content as estimating, scheduling, construction project management, and construction contract law. The successful candidate may also be required to teach classes in construction materials and methods, construction technologies, mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems, building information modeling, sustainable construction, energy management, and/or building commissioning. The successful candidate will be able to adjust instructional techniques as required by individual student learning styles while maintaining a safe and positive learning environment for students and fellow faculty members. Dedicated commitment to construction safety and quality construction standards is necessary. Teaching assignments may include daytime and/or evening hour and face-to-face instruction. Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community. Final candidates will be subject to a criminal background check as part of the employment process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and two years relevant experience in residential/light commercial construction field; OR
  • Associate's Degree in a related field and four years relevant experience in residential/light commercial construction field; OR
  • High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of eight years relevant experience residential/light commercial construction field.
  • Unofficial copies of transcripts from each institution of higher learning where either a degree has been conferred or coursework completed are required documents that must be submitted as part of the online application process.
  • Applicants with foreign education credentials must contact a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) for an academic transcript evaluation.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional accreditation/certification as a LEEDAP, PE, CPC, CxA, or other related credential.
  • Demonstrated work experience in AutoCAD, Revit and MicroStation.

Responsibilities
