About The Position

Penn State Lehigh Valley is seeking multiple part-time lecturers to teach Computer Science and Information Technology undergraduate courses for the Spring 2026 semester and the 2026-2027 academic year. We are seeking lecturers with previous teaching experience and/or work experience capable of teaching courses in any of the following: Python programming, Java programming, discrete mathematics for computer science, operating systems, or systems analysis and design.

Requirements

• Minimum qualification is a master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field
• Previous teaching experience and/or work experience in relevant subjects

Responsibilities

• Teaching one to three undergraduate level courses (1-3 credits each up to a maximum of 9 credits per semester each spring, and/or fall semester depending on expertise and needs)
• Teaching day, evening or weekend classes depending on the needs of the class being taught
• Teaching in-person courses primarily, with potential for hybrid options depending on program needs
• Participating in a teaching review during the first semester of teaching
