About The Position

To conduct classes in the theory and practice of building trades, including mathematics. Skill areas include: proper use of tools, machines, and materials; electrical safety; building maintenance; plumbing; and carpentry.

Requirements

• Applicants must possess: an Associate’s Degree or appropriate educational credits, certifications, Bachelor’s of Science in Career and Technical Education, or experience to enable satisfactory performance and instruction in the designated area of building trades
• Five (5) years of relevant professional experience
• Demonstrated ability to teach
• Demonstrated knowledge of Internet navigation, email access and word processing skills
• Teaching takes place during Tuesday and Wednesday evenings and would be located in our Troy location.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s Degree in a related field
• Experience working with educationally and economically disadvantaged adult populations
• Certified OSHA 10-hour Trainer
