Ottawa University is accepting applications for highly motivated adjuncts to deliver high-quality instruction in various biological courses to undergraduate students. This role primarily involves preparing and teaching assigned courses, which include developing engaging lectures, leading laboratory sessions, and assessing student performance. The adjunct faculty is expected to maintain regular communication with students, and collaborate with full-time faculty to ensure curriculum consistency. Adjunct faculty may be asked to teach Developmental Biology, Human Anatomy, or Principles of Biology depending on qualifications and experience. The need for these positions is dependent on operational need, including enrollment and staffing. If a need arises, the department will select candidates from this general adjunct posting. If you are interested in teaching in a university setting, it can be helpful to gain experience as an adjunct instructor. Many of our adjunct instructors hold a full-time career elsewhere, and choose to teach in our evening, weekend, and online programs so that they may have the opportunity to teach students. Ottawa University employs adjunct instructors to teach undergraduate/graduate level coursework for its adult campuses. Each location has an Academic Coordinator/Academic Dean dedicated to hiring for adjunct teaching responsibilities.
