Adjunct Geology Professor: Adjunct Geology Professor: This is an Adjunct position that instructs lecture and lab classes. The salary rate for this position is $700.00 per credit hour.

Requirements

• Master's degree or higher with 18 hours of graduate courses in Geology from an accredited college or university.
• Previous successful experience teaching in the area of Geology at the university or community college level; however, professional experience may be held as equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to engage students in the learning process and proven commitment to student success.
• Collegial attitude with college community as well as outside entities.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple assignments.
• Excellent computer and multi-media skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in tracking student learning outcomes, analyzing resultant data, and implementing improvement plans.

Responsibilities

• Teaches no more than 9 credit hours per semester.
• Works as a team member in the department; complies with the “faculty responsibilities” as outlined in the Faculty Handbook and the College’s Policy and Procedure Manual.
• Contributes to campus assessment process by measuring and reporting student learning outcomes as directed to meet THECB Core Objectives and SACSCOC requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Dean and Department Chair.
