About The Position

The Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) is accepting applications for Adjunct Dance Technique positions at its colleges for the 2025-2026 Academic School Year. The LACCD seeks dynamic, motivated, and diverse candidates for part-time adjunct professor positions to provide instruction in Dance Studies. Successful candidates will collaborate, communicate, and work as professionals with students, staff, faculty, and administrators. During the adjunct application process, applicants can indicate which of LACCD's colleges they are interested in for employment. Qualified applicants may be offered an interview with Theater Arts Department members at one or more of LACCD's 9 colleges. Final determination of part-time Stagecraft assignments is contingent upon student enrollment/class or assignment availability/funding.

Requirements

  • Master's in Dance, Physical Education with a Dance emphasis, or Theater with a Dance emphasis.
  • Bachelor's in any of the above AND a Master's in Physical Education, any Life Science, Physiology, Theater Arts, Kinesiology, Humanities, Performing Arts, or Music.

Responsibilities

  • Teach a variety of Dance Techniques Courses.
  • Be culturally responsive in interactions with students, faculty, staff, and community members from diverse backgrounds.

Benefits

  • Salary begins at $86.85 per standard hour.
  • Office hour differential of $20.16 per hour for classroom assignments.
  • Eligibility for a doctoral differential for applicants with a doctoral degree.
