About The Position

The School of Health Science and Wellness at Northwest Missouri State University is seeking adjunct faculty to teach online courses in the following academic disciplines: Health & Physical Education, Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation, and Sport Management. Courses are primarily at the graduate level, but undergraduate teaching opportunities may also be available.

Requirements

• Earned Doctorate degree in specific disciplines listed above.
• Prior experience in online classroom instruction and work in specific discipline.
• Demonstrated innovative teaching methodologies to engage learners.
• Instructional technology skills.
• Interpersonal skills, including oral communication and collaboration.
• Committed to a focus on student success.

Nice To Haves

• At least three years of experience in online classroom instruction and work in specific discipline.
• Experience in online course design.
• Experience in coordination of online learning programs.

Responsibilities

• Teach online courses within a specific discipline, primarily at the graduate level.
• Collaborate with campus faculty.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
