Joining our Social Work and Sociology team, the Adjunct Faculty will be responsible for teaching courses such as "Introduction to Sociology" and "Sociology of Family." The instructor will deliver engaging instruction on foundational sociological theories, methodologies, and key concepts, while facilitating discussions that encourage critical thinking and real-world application of content. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, grading assignments, assessing student performance, and offering academic support through office hours or by appointment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Master's degree in Sociology or a closely related field.
  • Prior teaching experience in higher education preferred.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment for diverse students.
  • Experience with learning management systems and classroom technology preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Focus on family studies or related areas for Sociology of Family course.
  • Demonstrated ability to bring diverse perspectives into course materials.

Responsibilities
