About The Position

Seeking a temporary instructor for the MSW program 2026 Spring Term. The Adjunct Faculty member in Social Work is responsible for providing high-quality instruction that supports the academic, professional, and ethical development of students in alignment with program objectives and accreditation standards. This role involves teaching assigned undergraduate and/or graduate social work courses, fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment, and contributing to the mission of the Social Work program.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and delivering course content
  • Developing and maintaining syllabi consistent with departmental guidelines and CSWE competencies
  • Facilitating classroom (in person) instruction
  • Assessing student learning through assignments, exams, and other evaluative methods
  • Providing timely and constructive feedback
  • Maintaining accurate academic records
  • Upholding university policies related to grading, attendance, and academic integrity
  • Holding regular office hours or be accessible to students
  • Supporting student learning and professional development
  • Communicating effectively with program leadership
  • Participating in course coordination, curriculum updates, assessment activities, and meetings as needed
  • Performing all duties in accordance with institutional policies, ethical standards of the social work profession, and best practices in teaching and learning
