About The Position

Specific responsibilities include teaching FOSC 301, Innovations in Forensic Science. Adjunct faculty are expected to teach lecture (and lab if applicable) for the course that is assigned, along with classroom management including preparation of lecture, supervision of students, writing assignments, and grading assignments. Adjunct faculty hold appointments, as defined by their letter of appointment, without eligibility for tenure; where authorized by the Dean, adjunct appointments may be renewed. Adjunct faculty appointments do not guarantee a course assignment.

Requirements

  • All faculty must have at least a Master’s degree in the field/discipline in which they are teaching with 18 hours of course work related to the course(s) being taught. In some cases, subject to the approval by the Provost, a faculty member could be recommended for appointment based on substitution of significant experience for the degree.
