About The Position

Adjunct instructors instruct students, participate in appropriate curricular and co-curricular assignments and functions, and perform the necessary administrative obligations. Typical duties include but not limited to: Plans and teaches lessons in assigned courses. Assignments may include courses in software engineering and computer science. Prepares syllabi, instruction materials, coordinates and evaluates lectures and tests. Maintains highest possible standards of classroom instructions. Keeps abreast of new information and developments in field of instruction. Serves on university committees and participates in institutional meetings. Assists with the development of curriculum. Other duties: Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in related field and eighteen (18+) credit hours from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Ability to maintain professional skills through regular professional development, and other activities appropriate to higher education faculty.
  • Promote a common purpose consistent with stated University goals and demonstrate a commitment to students and the learning environment.
  • Possess the knowledge of general written standards and procedures utilized, and have the ability to read, interpret, and follow procedural and policy manual related to the job tasks.
  • Demonstrate the ability to respond to supervision, guidance, and direction in a positive, receptive manner and in accordance with stated policies.
  • Provide quality customer service by creating a welcoming and supportive environment.
  • Present a professional image in word, action, and attire.
