About The Position

The Theology and Religious Studies Department at Bellarmine University is seeking a part-time instructor for the introductory course titled "Ultimate Questions" for the fall semester, which runs from August 22, 2024, to December 4, 2024. This course is designed to explore fundamental questions of human meaning and the nature of religious experience as a response to these inquiries. The course will introduce students to various theological terms, concepts, and methods, focusing on how ultimate questions are addressed within a religious context, particularly within Christianity. Additionally, the course will include an examination of the writings of Thomas Merton and his perspectives on these ultimate questions. Classes will be held in person on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 AM to 9:15 AM.
