About The Position
Teaching faculty are professional educators who have the primary responsibility of fulfilling the District mission of providing a quality education for all students attending the colleges. Categories include full-time, temporary with benefits, and temporary without benefits. Faculty members are responsible to a department/program chairperson; The relationship of the faculty member to the student is one of leader, teacher, advisor, and facilitator of learning. Requirements
- Hold a minimum of an Associates degree in Surgical Technology plus three years documentation of demonstrated work experience in the teaching field OR three years of documentation of demonstrated work experience and agree to obtain an Associates Degree within three years of hire date.
- Hold credentials in the field of surgical technology through a national certification that is accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA) such as The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
