About The Position

Lesley University’s department of Liberal Arts & Business is seeking a qualified Adjunct Faculty member to support the College Articulation Partnership between Bridgton Academy and Lesley University. The goal of this partnership is to allow students to enroll in two college-level business courses and earn transferable credit before graduating. The Adjunct Faculty member will teach two courses, one in the fall and one in the spring. Each course will consist of a 75-minute online synchronous session per week, with once per month in-person class meetings, following the Bridgton Academy academic calendar. In addition to teaching, the Adjunct Faculty member will collaborate with admissions to support Bridgton students interested in enrolling at Lesley University and partner with Lesley’s marketing team to provide information about the Bridgton classes for marketing the partnership. This initiative aims to create a formal pathway for Bridgton students to explore enrollment at Lesley University, supported by dedicated admissions resources and regular campus engagement. The courses include "Foundations of Sport Management" (fall semester), which introduces sport management across various contexts, applying core management theories to real-world scenarios, and "Sports Marketing and Sales" (spring semester), which explores marketing principles and practices within the sports industry, covering strategies for promoting teams, athletes, events, and related products and services.

Requirements

  • Earned degree in Sports Administration, Business, or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience working within the field of sports management and administration.
  • Prior experience coaching.
  • Ability to diplomatically tackle difficult topics and conventional thinking in a respectful and productive manner.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to promote a culture of continuous improvement, experimentation, measurement, and learning.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work with diverse community.

Responsibilities

  • Support the College Articulation Partnership between Bridgton Academy and Lesley University.
  • Teach two college-level business courses: one in the fall and one in the spring.
  • Conduct 75-minute online synchronous classes per week (Mondays & Wednesdays 10:00-11:15am).
  • Conduct once per month in-person class meetings.
  • Work with admissions to support Bridgton students interested in enrolling at Lesley University.
  • Partner with Lesley’s marketing team by providing information about the Bridgton classes to assist with marketing the partnership.
