About The Position

Teach in-person Spanish courses in the Global Languages department under the Division of the Humanities and Learning Communities. Levels of focus, SPN-101 (Beginner), SPN-201 (Intermediate) Courses are offered fully in-person on campus (Charlestown and Chelsea campuses).

Requirements

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in Spanish or related field.
  • Evidence of engagement in culturally responsive pedagogies.
  • Experience with high impact teaching and learning practices (examples: undergraduate research, community engagement, critical pedagogies, learning communities).
  • Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population.
  • Ability to teach courses on campus in an in-person setting at BHCC's Charlestown or Chelsea campuses.

Nice To Haves

  • Community college teaching experience preferred.
  • Our students come from a variety of cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds, and we are dedicated to providing them with the support they need to succeed. While not required, the ability to read, speak, and write in Spanish or another language is preferred.
