About The Position

Reporting to the Dean of Social Science and Human Services, we are seeking an adjunct instructor to teach sociology and women's studies courses. The initial need is for both in-person and online instruction at our main campus in Elyria, Ohio. Course offerings may include Introduction to Sociology, Sociology of Sex and Gender, Introduction to Women's Studies and other courses depending on experience and qualifications. Course schedules are flexible and may include days, evenings, or weekends to accommodate both traditional and non-traditional students.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Sociology, Women's Studies, or a related field
  • Experience teaching at the college level
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to teach both in-person and online courses

Nice To Haves

  • Ph.D. in Sociology or Women's Studies
  • Experience with curriculum development
  • Familiarity with online teaching platforms

Responsibilities

  • Teach sociology and women's studies courses
